The Interfaith Youth Group invites all to their annual Mocktail Party on Sunday, December 7, 4-6 p.m. at the Leonia Presbyterian Church’s Fireplace Room. Come out and support the youth of this community. Tickets may be purchased from a Youth Group Member, Lisa VanDeWeert or at the door.

LEONIA YOUTH GROUP If you are interested in more information about the Leonia Youth Group, they will be putting out a Newsletters every few months to the different congregations in Leonia. They of course appreciate your continued support and hope you will encourage any high school students who are in the congregation to join them on Sunday.

 

THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION WITH ESL STUDENTS AND TEACHERS

Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner - Sunday, November 30, 4:30 p.m. Get out your turkey, stuffing, apple pie, and other Thanksgiving recipes! It's time for the annual Thanksgiving potluck with students and teachers from our English Conversation Classes (over 100 students this semester!) as well as other members of our congregation. Listen for details in the announcements preceding worship and watch out for sign-up sheets. If you plan to join us, we must get your commitment by November 23 at the latest. See you there!

 

CENTER FOR FOOD ACTION NEEDS YOUR HELP

2800 local families need help to put dinner on their tables this Thanksgiving. CFA, as it has done for the past 36 years, will distribute holiday food packages to those who need a helpful

hand. To ensure that our poorest and most vulnerable neighbors can put food on their tables

this Thanksgiving and throughout the year, your help is urgently needed.

If you would rather send a financial donation, just $24 means that a family can put Thanksgiving dinner on their table.

Most needed holiday food items are: $15 supermarket gift cards (to purchase turkeys), white potatoes and yams, stuffing mix, boxed mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pasta and pasta sauce, rice, pancake mix and syrup, pie crust mix and fruit filling, 100% apple juice, canned fruit, cake mix and icing, coffee, tea and holiday napkins. Donations of supermarket gift cards also allow CFA to purchase eggs, cheese and fresh produce. Please place your donations in the basket in the front of the sanctuary.
